Where does the name HyAlto come from?
“Hy” is for hybrid (cloud) and “alto” is the prefix given to the middle layer of clouds in the atmosphere (altocumulus, altostratus). Since the Hyalto platform sits between your cloud infrastructure and your customers or employees we thought it was both unique and accurate.
A Brief Overview
HyAlto is a multi-revenue-focused cloud management platform that centralizes the task of managing multiple cloud environments into a single pane of glass. We chose to call it a monetization platform rather than a management platform because its features (of which management is one) are built to drive revenue and reduce expenses.
For service providers monetization comes via the ability to sell cloud services through a combination of business models, and by delivering those services using automation. This makes for faster order fulfillment and increased margins.
For the enterprise monetization comes from achieving increased operating efficiency and scale without increased costs. Your IT department can deliver cloud services with fewer steps in the process, making your organization more productive.
Three Core Components
HyAlto delivers on its mission through the platform’s core components. Both service providers and enterprises can fully leverage these in their respective cloud environments, though the use cases may differ slightly.
Service providers can use the fully brandable and white-labelled marketplace to sell their cloud products and services through any combination of direct, partner or self-serve models. Resembling a traditional ecommerce storefront, CSPs can set up a product catalog to offer cloud services (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS), and additional services like disaster recovery, backup, consulting services, etc.. Creating value added bundles is a great way to offer an all-in-one solution to suit the needs of any customer.
For the enterprise the marketplace functions as a portal, where an IT department can set up approved services for the organization. A catalogue of services can be created for specific teams, roles, regions, etc. Whatever the requirement employees can simply login to the portal to access what they need.

If acquiring new services is simple, then the process of bringing them online should be equally so. That’s where HyAlto’s automation & provisioning functionality comes in. Once an order is placed new services are automatically configured and provisioned into the correct environment. Services are live within minutes without need for a lot of manual work.

Metering & Usage
Rounding out the platform is the ability to easily view consumption metrics down to the most granular of details. Usage and transactions for all services can be displayed down to the individual customer/employee and SKU level.
